Annual Symposium on Child Abuse

Jerome Vaughn reported that the School of Social Work held it's annual symposium at Wayne State University. The symposium seeks to educate social workers and the public about child abuse. The Detroit Police Department and the Children's Aid Society participated in the symposium, which examined the need for services to families in crisis. The more of these services available, the fewer children are funneled into the foster care system.
